Biography

Will Falk is a poet, activist, and attorney. The natural world speaks and Will's work is how he listens. His law practice focuses on land defense, rights of nature, and Native American sovereignty. Will is the author of When I Set the Sweetgrass Down (Wayfarer Books '23), a full-length collection of Earth-centered poetry. He is also the author of How Dams Fall (Homebound Publications '19), a work of creative nonfiction which describes his relationship with the Colorado River in the context of the first-ever federal lawsuit seeking rights for a major ecosystem that he helped to file in 2017. Will is an MFA candidate in Western Colorado University's Graduate Program in Creative Writing (Poetry '26). You can follow his work at willfalk.org.
