Mar. 13: Loveland
The Green Fuse 5th Birthday Party will be held on Saturday, March 13th, at 6 p.m. at the Mandolin Cafe on 4th St. in downtown Loveland. All poets previously published by Green Fuse have been invited to read not only from their Green Fuse publications but also from their new work. There will be an open poetry mic, a jazz violinist, coffee and birthday cake.
Mar. 18: Denver
“Doublestruck: Muse and Musician," a collaboration between WIN WEAR and the literary journal COPPER NICKEL, will be held on Thursday, March 18, starting at 7 p.m. at Orange Cat Studios, 2625 Larimer St., in Denver.. The event will feature some of Denver’s best musicians, including Roger Green, Conrad Kehn, and David Mead, will interpreting poems and fiction from the journal into music.
A reception will follow with NOVO Coffee, home made pastries, and record spinning going well into the night. A $10 admission will include the food and a copy of The Copper Nickel. A bottomless cup of beer is just $1.
Mar. 18: Westminster
Colorado poet Joy Sawyer is the featured reader at Third Thursday Poetry Open Mic on Thursday, March 18, from 7-9 p.m. at Forza Coffee Company in Westminster. (Valley Vista Center, NW corner of 104th and Federal Blvd., 3013 West 104th Ave.)
Mar. 21: Ft. Collins (Radio)
In the new one-hour format for Dona Stein’s “The Radio Show” (1st and 3rd Sundays of each month), Veronica Patterson, poet and teacher of Creative Writing, will read from her new book, Thresh & Hold and discuss how teaching creative writing can be inspiring for both students and the teacher. 6-7 p.m. at 88.9fm KRFC in Fort Collins. April 01: Loveland
Bhanu Kapil reads at the Poets’ Co-op Series on Thursday, April 1st in the Foote Gallery of the Loveland Museum, 4th and Lincoln in downtown Loveland. Open mike 7-8; featured reader 8-9.
April 05: Boulder
Tim Hernandez (2006 American Book Award winner for his book of poems Skin Tax and author of the just-released novel Breathing, In Dust) will read on Monday April 5th, 7-8 p. m at the Boulder Bookstore, 1107 Pearl St. in Boulder.
April 15: Pueblo
The Southern Colorado Reading Series is proud to present Raza Ali Hasan on Thursday, April 15, at 7 p.m. in CSU-Pueblo's OUC Cottonwood Room. The reading is free.
May 06: Loveland
Sandy Tseng reads at the Poets’ Co-op Series on Thursday, May 6th in the Foote Gallery of the Loveland Museum, 4th and Lincoln in downtown Loveland. Open mike 7-8; featured reader 8-9.
